Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By signing up and using NefroChef (the "App"), you accept these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree with them, you must not use the App.

2. Description of the Service

NefroChef is a nutritional support app that offers personalized recipes for people with kidney disease. The App filters and recommends recipes based on the user's health profile.

3. Registration and Account

• You must provide accurate information and keep your details up to date.
• You are responsible for the security of your password and for all activity on your account.
• You may not create more than one account per person.
• We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that breach these terms.

4. Subscription and Payments

Premium plan

• NefroChef offers a Premium subscription with two plans: monthly and annual.
• The price is shown in your local currency inside the app or store before you confirm the purchase, and includes any taxes applicable in your country.
• Both plans are auto-renewing subscriptions: they renew automatically (monthly or yearly, depending on the plan) unless you cancel renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Subscriptions are charged from the moment of purchase. If you previously started a trial period, it remains governed by the terms in force when it was activated: when it ends, the subscription automatically converts to a paid one unless you cancel beforehand.

Payment methods

• Depending on the platform you use, payment is processed through Apple (App Store), Google (Google Play) or, on the web version, through Stripe.
• When the purchase is made inside a mobile app, your Apple ID or Google account is charged on confirmation, and management of the subscription is also governed by that store's own terms.

Cancellation

• You can cancel auto-renewal at any time:
• On iPhone/iPad: in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions).
• On Android: Google Play → Menu → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions.
• On the web version: from your profile or the billing portal (Stripe).
• When you cancel, you keep Premium access until the end of the period already paid for. No further charges are made after cancellation.

Account deletion and active subscription

• Subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play are managed in your Apple or Google account, not on our servers. If you delete your account without cancelling first, automatic renewal continues and you will still be charged.
• For that reason, cancel your subscription first by following the steps in the previous section, and delete your account afterwards.
• Deleting your account erases your data irreversibly, including the link to your subscription. This may make it harder for us to help you identify later charges.
• If you have already deleted your account and still see charges, cancel the subscription from the relevant store and write to us at contact@nefrochef.com with the email address you signed up with.

Refunds

• Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are subject to Apple's or Google's refund policies respectively, and must be requested directly from that store.
• For purchases made on the web version (Stripe), refunds are assessed case by case by writing to contact@nefrochef.com. If the request is made within 48 hours of the charge and you have not made significant use of the service, a full refund will be processed.

4 bis. Right of Withdrawal (EU / UK consumers)

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have 14 days from the date of purchase to withdraw from your subscription without giving any reason, by writing to contact@nefrochef.com.

By starting to use the Premium content immediately after purchase, you expressly request that we begin performance during the withdrawal period and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. If you withdraw before that, we refund the amount paid, minus any part of the service already supplied.

For purchases made through the App Store or Google Play, the refund is handled by Apple or Google under their own procedures.

5. Friends Plan (Referrals)

• Each user may refer up to 3 people.
• The reward (30 free days) is granted when both parties (referrer and referee) have made at least one payment.
• Creating fake accounts to obtain referral benefits is prohibited. Fraudulent accounts will be invalidated.

6. Acceptable Use

By using NefroChef, you agree to:

• Not share your account with third parties.
• Not attempt to access restricted areas or tamper with the App.
• Not copy, distribute or modify NefroChef content without authorization.
• Not use the App for illegal or unauthorized purposes.

7. Intellectual Property

All NefroChef content (recipes, text, images, logos, design and code) is the property of NefroChef and is protected by applicable intellectual property law.

8. Limitation of Liability

• NefroChef does not guarantee that recipes are suitable for every individual medical condition.
• Users are responsible for consulting their medical team before making changes to their diet.
• NefroChef is not liable for damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Changes to these Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be notified by email or within the App. Continued use of NefroChef after the changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States, and any dispute will be settled before the competent courts of Mexico City. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, nor of your right to bring proceedings before the courts of that country.
